Empowerment Over Anxiety

Online and in-person therapy in Indiana for adults, teens, and children wanting to learn how to manage their thoughts and emotions.

Do your thoughts and emotions spiral out of control? Have others called you "overdramatic," "too emotional," or "overly sensitive?"

Do people assume that because you've been able to survive with the world on your shoulders so far, you should be fine?

Do you stuff things down until you can't take it anymore and then blow up? Is it hard for you to say no, set boundaries, or take care of your own needs?

I can take a bit of the world off your shoulders, by teaching you ways to gain control of your thoughts and emotions, motivate yourself, and communicate calmly and confidently no matter what comes your way.

Hi, I’m Kylie

I empower people who are filled with self-doubt, frustration, and worry, with supportive guidance so they can communicate, manage their emotions, and live a life they love.

It's healing to have someone on your side who understands. I have helped hundreds of people go from feeling overwhelmed, stressed, irritable, and DRAINED, to empowered to deal with whatever comes their way. My clients often report less anxiety, higher self-esteem, and better relationships, because of the support and lifelong coping skills they gain.

I specialize in

  • Anxiety, people-pleasing, and discomfort with conflict often lead people to avoid speaking up for themselves. I teach people assertiveness, so they can calmly stand up for themselves, and maximize their chance of being understood and getting what they want. Clients increase their self-esteem and secure relationships through healthy communication.

  • Fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and self-doubt can make it difficult to meet goals. I help people identify procrastination-justification thoughts, avoidance-based behaviors, and discouraging self-talk, so they can encourage themselves into action and achieve whatever is important to them.

  • Feeling on edge and being preoccupied with worry can make it hard to concentrate and relax. Relaxation is a skill that can be developed with training. Through modeling and practice in session, my clients learn how to utilize mindfulness, progressive muscle relaxation, guided meditation, deep breathing, calming affirmations, and self-soothing strategies to activate a sense of peace and self-assurance in any situation.

Your anxiety keeps you from being the person you want to be.

Most of the time you feel like you're on autopilot, making the motions of life, without really living. You might have a hard time making friends, saying no, or doing things that seem so easy for others. Maybe you force yourself to drive, go to the store, or return calls, but you're miserable the whole time.

Communication feels impossible. You're sick of snapping at everyone and feeling guilty. But it feels like nobody listens unless you yell, and then the yelling just reinforces all the negative thoughts you had about yourself to begin with.

You don't have to keep feeling overwhelmed, I can help you gain control of your thoughts and emotions.

Confidence, calm, and feeling good enough isn't out of reach. I’d love to help you get there.
